A SALON owner from Flintshire has been 'overwhelmed' at the support she received following a charity challenge in aid of her dad.
Lisa Hayes, from Buckley, owns Wow hair salon in the Flintshire town and on Saturday (May 20) took on a hairdressing challenge in aid of MacMillan.
The 44-year-old took on the challenge following a tough couple of years, which saw her dad diagnosed with cancer.
On Saturday, Lisa and her colleague Sadie set out to do 12 hours of blow-drys from 12pm till 12am, in addition, a number of prizes were auctioned off.
Lisa had set a target of £500 for the day and has been left overwhelmed after raising over £1,100.

She said: "Myself and my colleague Sadie would like to thank everyone that supported us on the day.
"We’ve had such an amazing response not only from our loyal clients but also other members of the Buckley community. Plus support from local businesses. We set our target at £500 and never thought we’d more than double it.
"We’re so happy and overwhelmed by everyone’s love and support.
"It’s been such a huge success that we are considering making it a yearly fundraiser."
