Helen Skelton opens refurbished Go Outdoors store in Saltney

Just before 9am on Saturday (May 20), Helen cut the ribbon at the store's opening event and welcomed in eager customers who had been queuing outside, greeting them with goody bags and vouchers to spend inside the newly kitted-out store.

Shortly after this, there was a Q&A session with the mum-of-three, in which Helen explained what the outdoors means to her.

She said: “Nature and adventure are great levellers. There’s no denying time spent outside is good for your mental health and that’s why I would encourage anyone to invest in yourself by being outdoors."

The newly refurbished store in Saltney is part of the vast estate of GO Outdoors stores across the UK. 

The store now features a full-sized Naylors Equestrian department, Fishing Republic department and Bike 365, enabling customers to pick up specialist equipment for equestrian, angling and cycling activities alike.

GO Outdoors is based at Saltney Retail Park, River Lane.
