NHS staff put the fun into fundraising with a special cake sale during Mental Health Awareness Week.
Community public health nurses - BCUHB, Children and Young People, and Health Visitor/School Nurses East - held a staff cake sale with a twist for #wearitgreenday (May 18) as part of the annual campaign.
Held in the Penyffordd War Memorial Institute, not only were cakes available but activities to take part in such as juggling, hula hoop and ribbon work, with the £112.50 raised going to the Mental Health Foundation.
This year's focus by the foundation is 'anxiety', and health visitor Alison Wakelam explained why the subject resonated with them.

She said: “It's something all of us, no matter what our role or point of life in society, can struggle with, beyond our necessary flight or fight survival instinct.
"The event was held for staff only because particularly those in the role of caring for others can forget to give time for themselves too, and to feel comfortable in that down time, and allow our thoughts to run freely and positively.
"We know how important exercise is for managing emotions but many run from the word, worried it will be hard, or unpleasant or not enjoyable, that is why the activities offered where a trip down memory lane, and based upon play.
"Children don’t go in the playground to exercise, they have time out of the classroom to play and we should do more of the same in our break times”
Stephen Doore, equalities manager, added: “The Mental Health Foundation do some fantastic work, including rigorous research and practical projects to identify what’s most helpful, public information that empowers people to look after their mental health and influencing work to move policies in the right direction.”
