FIRE crews were called out to tackle a "substantial" house blaze in Wrexham, it has been confirmed.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 7.30pm on Thursday reporting the incident, in Y Wern.
Three crews attended the scene and used four sets of breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, a pair of thermal imaging cameras and first aid packs.
The incident, described by a fire service spokesman as "substantial", was declared over just before 10pm and a the preliminary cause is believed to be accidental.
Four casualties were checked over at the scene, the spokesman added, and a bedroom was damaged by fire.
An investigation is underway.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called yesterday (18 May), shortly after 7.50pm, to reports of a house fire at Y Wern, Wrexham.
"We sent three emergency ambulances and one rapid response vehicle to the scene.
"Two patients were transported to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.”
