A NEAR miss outside a Wrexham primary school has prompted a police warning to motorists.
Inspector Luke Hughes, of the Wrexham City policing team, said parking issues were reported on Borras Park Road, near Borras Park Primary School, during school drop off time on Monday.
He said: "Double yellow parking and on this occasion, such was the rush to squeeze a vehicle onto double yellow lines, a lady with a pushchair nearly came into contact with the vehicle.
"The consequences could have been tragic. Nothing is worth the rush, or the inconvenience of a few minutes' walk."

It comes after Wrexham Council issued a recent warning to parents to park responsibly during school drop off and pick up times.
Another near miss outside a school prompted the warning.
Councillor Mark Pritchard, leader of the council, with responsibility for parking enforcement, said: “Parking during drop off and pick up times is a problem in many areas and I know officers will take enforcement whenever they see irresponsible parking.
"Outside schools there’s clear zig zags and often double yellow lines – it’s illegal to park on these and doing so, even if you’ll only be five minutes, could land you with a fine from the council or police, but worse than that you could be endangering a child’s life which no-one wants to be responsible for. Please park legally.”
