A FLINTSHIRE town is gearing up for its annual summer festival.

The Connah's Quay Festival takes place on Sunday, June 25. 

The town-council run event will see the Cambria Brass Band lead the parade - which will leave the Civic Hall at 10.30am, it then proceeds up to Wepre Park.

The official opening of the festival at Wepre Park will be by councillor Alan Manship, new chair of Connah's Quay Town Council, at 11am.

There will be live music, a fun fair, live wrestling, children's entertainment, a fun dog show, a variety of stalls and more.
