MOLD residents are being encouraged to take part in this year's annual talent competition.
Mold Carnival's popular amateur talent competition is now open for entries for both adults and children.
Auditions for the Time2Shine competiton will take place on Tuesday, June 6 at the ex-serviceman's club on Wrexham Street, Mold for two catagories; under 15 and over 15.
The final of the competition will be held on Carnival Day, which will take place on Sunday, July 16 with one winner in each category set to receive £100.
Jane Evans, Mold Town Council events and community engagement officer, said: “The Mold Carnival Committee is hoping there will be a great array of talents at this year's auditions, so whether you are a singer, a dancer, a musician, an acrobat, comedian (family-friendly), magician, dancing Dad or Mum or have any other talent you want to show off, then we want to see it so make sure you fill in your entry form to take part.”
She added: “Time2Shine is not just for residents of Mold, the competition is open to anyone who visits Mold, attends school in Mold or works or plays in the town.
"It is however an amateur competition and therefore performers, persons or groups who perform professionally or semi-professionally and / or have received payment to perform are not eligible to enter. Previous winners of Time2Shine (or as it was formally known ‘Mold’s Got Talent’) are also not eligible to enter unless their act / performance is different i.e solo singer now a duo.”
To enter Time2Shine, you can download an entry form from www.moldcarnival.co.uk/booking-forms or request via email events@moldtowncouncil.org.uk.
Entry forms can be picked up from Mold Town Council's office, 1st floor, Town Hall, Earl Road, Mold CH7 1AB or call 01352 758532.
