A MAN threatened to murder a mum and drink her blood, a court heard.
The Leader reported last year how Matthew Winstanley, of Alderwood Avenue in Liverpool, received a custodial sentence for assaulting his partner Brittany Gannon in Greenfield.
The 31-year-old was handed a 12-month restraining order preventing him from approaching the victim - despite her not asking for one as the couple wanted to "continue their relationship" when he came out of prison.
It was said at that point that Ms Gannon could apply to the court to have the order removed if she wished.

But in March this year it was still in place, and Winstanley breached it by contacting her.
He admitted the offence when he appeared at Mold Crown Court on Friday, as well as an offence of putting Ms Gannon in fear of violence through a number of his actions.
Those included letting himself into her property and threatening to do damage, threatening to "murder her and drink her blood", leaving verbally abusive voice messages, threatening to "bury an axe in her," and threatening to "leather" Ms Gannon and her mother.
He denied further charges of criminal damage and threats to cause damage - which the court heard were acceptable to the Crown Prosecution Service and would not require a trial.
Winstanley, who was "eager to get on with sentence and know his fate," is to be sentenced on May 18.
