A FLINTSHIRE bookshop is helping to ensure children can still access reading material despite the cost of living crisis.

Berwyn Bookshop, based in Caffi Isa in Mynydd Isa, has launched the Children’s Reading Project - which will see it work with organisations across North Wales to redistribute books, putting them into the hands of children.

It will work with schools, playgroups, foodbanks and the like to distribute the free books. Berwyn Bookshop wants to promote the advantages of reading, ensuring that books are accessible for all backgrounds.

MORE NEWS:

Emma Littler, co-owner of Berwyn Bookshop, said: "We are proud to launch the Berwyn Bookshop Children’s Reading Project. The cost of living crisis means that books are not a priority, but at the Berwyn Bookshop we are determined to ensure that every child regardless of there background has the opportunity to read.

"You can donate your new or pre-loved childrens books to us and we will ensure that they are put straight into the hands of the children that need them most."
