NEW traffic lights at the Deeside Industrial Estate roundabout have been switched off due to congestion in the area, the council has confirmed.
Motorists again faced lengthy delays this morning due to newly installed lights on the Deeside Park Interchange.
Work has been taking place on the interchange to "ease the impact of traffic generated by The Airfields (800-home) housing development", the Welsh Government said.
The 800-home development will include a convenience store and medical practice.
The Leader reported on Wednesday that motorists had faced lengthy delays.
One person said it had taken them an hour to get from Ellesmere Port back home to Deeside, and others questioned the need for the lights.
Traffic Wales said this morning that there were again delays due to the new lights.

A Flintshire County Council spokesperson said: "The lights have been turned off and will not be reinstated until the issues have been resolved.
"Traffic management will be maintained during this time.”
