A family has paid tribute to a man who died following a collision in earlier this week in Coedpoeth.
Sion Jones was 43-years-old and from the Coedpoeth area. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of a road traffic collision that occurred on the A525 at approximately 21.50pm on Tuesday, May 2.
He was described by his family in a tribute as a “loving father, son and brother” and was “well known” in the area.
His family have said: “Sion served in the 22 Regiment Royal Artillery, The Welsh Gunners for four years and was a well-known character in Coedpoeth.
“Sion was a loving father, son, and brother. He had a kind nature and was known to everyone by his smile which would light up a room. We are all devastated by his passing. He was loved by all of us and will be greatly missed.”
An investigation is underway and officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses and information about the collision on the A525 and involving a pedestrian and a Ford Focus.
Officers continue to appeal to anybody who may have been travelling through Coedpoeth prior to the collision and who may have dash cam footage, or anybody who may have witnessed the collision and who is yet to speak to them to make contact as soon as possible.
Anybody with information that could assist with the ongoing investigation is urged to contact North Wales Police via the website.
