POLICE forces from Wrexham and Flintshire are set to come together as part of a new project aimed at tackling issues in the area.
In Friday's daily police update, Inspector Luke Hughes discussed the new operation, which took place in Wrexham on Thursday.
The project will see officers from Wrexham Town, Wrexham Rural and Flintshire support each other in dealing with issues.
It is hoped that increased visibility in 'hotspot' locations will reduce incidents.
Insp Hughes said: "Yesterday we managed to use this extra time to put a little staff on the ground and be as visible as we could around some of our “hotspot” locations.

"In fact, yesterday we welcomed officers from Wrexham Rural and Flintshire to our patch.
"It was part of an operation that will see all areas support each other to increase visibility, whilst also allowing us to tackle some of the issues that simply need a little more staff that might usually be available.
"I’ve just spoken to Wrexham Rural Inspector, Matt Subacchi who is driving the project and I think it’s a very worthwhile venture."
