A WREXHAM woman has been left shaken after a balaclava-clad man tried to break in to her house in broad daylight.
The incident occurred at a property on Llay New Road in Llay on Thursday afternoon.
The woman, wishing to remain anonymous, was in the kitchen cooking when she saw a man wearing a balaclava enter the back garden, with another man behind him.
The man reportedly moved towards an open window, which the resident slammed shut. Both suspects then fled the scene.

The woman's husband said: "It just doesnt bare thinking about if they have suceeded in gaining entry. It's scared the life out of her.
"She's very shaken up, as are our children."
North Wales Police has confirmed it is investigating the incident - which occurred at about midday.
