AS the nation looks forward to celebrating the crowning of King Charles tomorrow, many people have been looking back to the last Coronation.
Queen Elizabeth's coronation took place 70 years ago on June 2, 1953.
There are plenty of people from across the region who took part in marking the occasion, including street parties.
Sharing photos of the historical day, Mary Jones said: “We lived at Gate House Farm, Gresford at that time. I was a very small flower girl, aged about two years. I’m the little girl holding a posy in front of the mock Queen on one picture and just behind the boy with a horn on the other.”
Another reader shared photo memories of the Queen's Coronation.
Joan Evans said: "These photos are of Parc Alun in Mold. I lived at 36 with my mum dad and four brothers.
"My name then was Joan Morris. I am the little blonde at the front.
"Everyone who lived there joined in. I think the name of the Queen was Joyce Mcnee."
Paul Davies shared a photo on behalf of his mother, Beryl Roden (nee Bithell).
He added: "Children from Oxford Street, Wrexham dressed up to recreate the 1953 Coronation.
"From left to right - Brian Coppel, Valerie Holmes, Peggy Foulkes, Beryl Bithell and John Wright."
Another to share a memory was, Elaine Chambers (nee Poynton), now in London but formerly Wrexham.
She said: "I remember the Coronation in 1953, I was eight-years-old when the street I lived in, Edward Street, was decorated with bunting. I can recall the specially made cardigan I wore knitted in red, white and blue.
"I think it must have rained because the party food was consumed in Poyser Street Church, now gone I believe (the church and the food!) but was then situated at the top of our street. I have no pictures, we didn't own a camera and we listed to the Coronation on the wireless set."
And finally, Katherine Belcher shared a photo from the celebrations of 1953.
She said: "Children from Bromfield Park, Mold at the Drill Hall, celebrating the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth.
