A FIRM in Wrexham has stepped up to repaint a mural that was defaced by graffiti.
Yesterday, images surfaced of the new Welcome to Wrexham mural on Crispin Lane daubed in graffiti by vandals.
The artwork was recently unveiled, with the makers of the documentary believed to be behind it.
The vandalism was labeled as "disgusting" and "classless" by fans and residents.
It had reference to 'CFC' and '125' - the latter being the name of the hooligan firm associated with Chester FC.
There was also graffiti of a highly offensive nature which we won't publicise.
However, Colour Supplies in Wrexham came to the rescue and painted over the graffiti this morning (May 2).
Matthew Purslow, who works at the firm has been going to Wrexham games since 1992.

After seeing images of the vandalism, he quickly asked his boss if they could help out, a wish that was quickly granted.
Matthew said: "I was informed by a few friends and thought that as I work in a paint shop I may as well see if I can do anything.
"I asked my boss and he gave me the green light, so I was down there this morning for about an hour in all, working out the shade and repainting it."
After Matthew's work was shared on social media, he has been inundated with messages from fans, praising his effort.
He added: "It's got a bit daft with notifications, I've had to put my phone in the staff room and turn it off - it was that busy."
A spokesperson from Colour Supplies was also quick to praise Matthew, they said: "Proud to support this club and this town for over 50 years. Well done to Matthew from our Wrexham store for starting this, we'll come back and finish it later."
