THE Wrexham Prostate Cancer Support Group has received a funding boost as they get closer to their £60,000 target.
The group has been fundraising for over the last 18 months as they attempt to secure state-of-the-art equipment for the Maelor Hospital.
They are a step closer to their target following a donation from The Wrexham Pegasus Lodge 9124, a part of the North Wales Freemasons based in Wrexham.

They have donated £1,000 to the local cancer support group, much to the delight of group secretary Phil Jones, who said: "Fundraising is just a small part of the aims of the group and the primary objective is to raise public awareness and promotion of the cause of prostate cancer and provide support for those men who have prostate cancer or suspect that they may have symptoms."
The group’s next monthly meeting is at 7pm at The Trevor Arms in Marford on Wednesday, May 3.
