THE 'WELCOME to Wrexham mural' has been defaced by vandals who have daubed it in graffiti.
The Crispin Lane-based mural was recently unveiled - with the makers of the hit Welcome to Wrexham documentary believed to be behind it.
However, vandals have today (Monday, May 1) spray painted graffiti on it - with reference to 'CFC' and '125' - the latter being the name of the hooligan firm associated with Chester FC.
There is also graffiti of a highly offensive nature which we won't publicise.
The vandalism has left people in Wrexham angered at the actions of those responsible - with it being described as "disgusting" and "classless".
One person said: "Pathetic people with nothing else in their lives than to ruin stuff - sad. More to be pitied, really. Hope it can be cleaned."
Another added: "That is disgusting, hope it can be cleaned! Someone obviously jealous of our big parade tomorrow."
