"NUMEROUS" reports of dogs loose in an area of Flintshire has prompted a police warning.
North Wales Police said the issues are prevalent in the Holway area of Holywell.
PCSO Kate Horne said: "We have received numerous reports of dogs being let loose in the Holway and surrounding area.
"A gentle reminder, please make sure that your gardens are secure so that your dogs can't escape and when out walking in a park or on a public footpath please keep your dog/s on a lead.
"Please be mindful that dogs can behave in different ways when coming into contact with people and other breeds.
"The last thing we want is an unexpected trip to the vets when it could have been resolved by keeping your dog secure."
