A QUEENSFERRY hair and beauty academy is offering a unique opportunity to residents in Flintshire.
Kings Academy of Hair and Beauty, working in partnership with Aura is set to deliver free Vocational Training Charitable Trust (VTCT) NVQ level 2 hairdressing diploma course for all in the community.
The VTCT Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing is a substantial vocational qualification for learners seeking a career as an employed and/or self-employed junior hairdresser/stylist.
The qualification is based on the Level 2 Hairdressing National Occupational Standards (NOS) and is recognised by the UK's lead hairdressing professional association (The Hairdressing Council) as being fit for purpose for preparing learners for a career as a junior hairdresser/stylist.
Interested applicants are urged to fill out a form which can be accessed here.
King's Acadamy owner, Sarah King said: "This is for anybody over the age of 19, they must live in the Flintshire area and this is a fully funded diploma.
"It's two days a week and would be school hours, successful applicants will come in and do theory work and the salon will be open to work on model clients, getting hands on experience of working in the environment.
"This is a massive opportunity for people to do this course for free.
"People don't have to be unemployed.
"Even if they have a part time job as long as they can do the hours of the course, it doesn't matter if they work as well."
Entry on to this qualification will be via a successful interview and will start in September 2023.
