A SECOND lucky Wrexham bingo player has won a life-changing £50,000 at Mecca Bingo this month, it has been announced.
The last Wrexham resident to be awarded that sum was a lucky lady who ironically won on April Fool's Day.
That winner had been a loyal Mecca Bingo player for over 30 years, and recently transferred from Chester to the Wrexham club on Smithfield Road.
But, it seems that Wrexham AFC's historic promotion-earning win over Boreham Wood wasn't the only cause for celebration in the city on Saturday, April 22.
That is because a second lucky Wrexham bingo player has won a £50,000 prize.
The lucky local man from Gwersyllt scooped the jackpot on the National Bingo Game on the same day as Wrexham won the National League title.
He is the second £50,000 winner at the Smithfield Road venue in the last three weeks, making Mecca Wrexham the luckiest club for big wins this month.

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, has been a regular customer at Mecca Bingo Wrexham for 17 years.
Tracy Leigh, general manager at Mecca Bingo Wrexham said: “We are ecstatic with our second big National Game winner in three weeks. We’ve certainly had a very lucky month, with two £50,000 jackpots.
"Combined with the football, it definitely feels like Wrexham is on a winning streak. If Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney would like to celebrate with us in club, we’d love to see them!"
