A POLICE Inspector has been left feeling 'incredibly proud' following a memorable night in Wrexham which saw the football club return to the big time.
Wrexham AFC ended 15 years of hurt on Saturday night (April 22) as they beat Boreham Wood 3-1 to return to the English Football League.
And, the district inspector for the area - Luke Hughes - says supporters were on their best behaviour throughout the night.
In his latest crime update published on Monday, April 24, Inspector Hughes said no football-related arrests were made over the weekend.
He added that that has left him feeling 'incredibly proud' of the area he covers.

Inspector Hughes said: "So we haven’t spoken since the weekend and a memorable one it certainly was.
"I’m incredibly proud to admit that from the final whistle not one single arrest was made on Saturday night that had anything to do with the football.
"One male was arrested in the city centre for being drunk and disorderly he was just a random male and no stranger to police contact, not a reveller, just a fool."
