THIS SUNDAY sees the return of the Live on the Square at Daniel Owen Square in Mold for what will be its fifth edition.
The date for the event has been confirmed for Sunday, April 30 coinciding with the May bank holiday.
Speaking ahead of the highly anticipated event, one of the event's organisers, Councillor Pete Dando said: "I have been on the organising committee for Live on the Square since the beginning and it has been amazing and a privilege to give local bands an opportunity to perform in a great location to a fantastic crowd!
"For our fifth anniversary of Live on the Square we have some amazing bands playing a mixture of covers and originals, there will be something for everyone.
Here are the acts which have been confirmed to appear:
The Barflys
Four-piece group, The Barflys are performing at the event for the first time.
The band, who hail from Buckley specialise in punk and grunge music and have been playing locally for just under a year.
The Establishment
Formed in 2018, Mold band The Establishment has been playing gigs locally whilst covering some of the most popular songs from multiple generations.
As well as covers, The Establishment write their own songs and recently released their own track: “Mid-Day Has Come”.
Fletch
Also making their Live on the Sqaure debut, experienced Chester band Fletch.
HUMAN
North Wales/Manchester based New Wave Indie Band, HUMAN take inspiration from popular groups such as Genesis, Depeche Mode and The Human League.
The band bring a familiar nostalgic feel to music that is presented in a contemporary form.
Contraband
Contraband is a quartet of men who have all been singing for over 50 years. Their style is capella, and recently were invited to sing at HMP Wrexham.
Black Light Fever
A four piece band from North Wales. Emerging out of the Liverpool music scene, Black Light Fever was founded by all four members Isaac Holmes, Louis Crank, Cian Bellis and Dani Yacobi-Lopez who all met at LIPA (Liverpool institute of performing arts).
YETII
Another debut to the Live on the Square stage, YETII are a Fuzz/Psych duo hailing from Manchester.
Amy Tasker
16-year-old Amy, performed last year at Mold Carnival and was one of her first performances on stage and she can't wait to perform at this year's event.

Amy Tasker - 5.30pm - 6pm
Human - 6pm - 7pm
YETII - 7.15pm - 7.45pm
Black Light Fever - 8pm - 9pm
Last year's Live on the Square was not only a sell out, but a perfect example of community spirit in Mold, with a combined 206.5 hours of volunteering taking place to ensure the day went smoothly.
Tickets are on still on sale for the remaining tickets but is expected to sell out.
