WREXHAM AFC's co-chairman have showered praise on Phil Parkinson after footage emerged of a heartwarming gesture for a young fan.
Earlier this week, a video did the rounds on social media, showing a young fan and his friends getting taken onto the pitch at the Racecourse by Parkinson.
The Reds gaffer found out that it was his birthday and escorted him and his friends onto the hallowed turf at the oldest international football stadium in the world.
The young fans looked delighted as the Wrexham manager took the time out of his day to make lifelong memories for them.
Parkinson can be heard telling the young fans to imagine the crowd singing and the music playing as they walk out into the famous stadium.

The heartwarming gesture has been well received by Reds fans, as well as the club's Hollywood owners, Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.
The pair both shared the video on their social media pages, with Rob quoting the video: "My Gaffer", while Ryan said: "This is our gaffer #parky."
In a week where Premier League footballers have been criticised for not taking time out to speak to mascots and young fans, Wrexham's manager has showed them all how it's done.
