A JURY heard the harrowing audio of a fatal stabbing injury being inflicted on a 23-year-old man who had been chased following an incident he wasn't involved in.
Jamie Mitchell, aged 25 and of Lexham Green Close in Buckley, denies the murder of Steven Wilkinson, which is alleged to have happened in an alleyway in the town on October 4 last year.
During the second day of Mitchell's trial, on Tuesday, the Jury was taken through various pieces of evidence - including a compilation of CCTV clips depicting the hours leading up to the incident itself.
DC Lee Harshey-Jones of North Wales Police showed the court maps detailing the routes of the victim and defendant on the night in question.
He also showed images of the crime scene, where various spots of blood were found, as well as the victim's bloodstained jacket and t-shirt which had a "slit" or "stab injury" under the armpit.
The court heard a pair of kitchen/steak knives were seized from the defendant's house, and a few weeks after the incident officers discovered a further knife stuck in the ground at grasslands opposite Aldi.

A fourth knife was seized as part of the investigation in November after it was found by a member of the public.
DC Harshey-Jones set out a timeline of events for the court, starting at the White Lion Pub, where Mr Wilkinson and his friend Jordan Spencer arrived at 8.10pm.
About an hour later, they left and were joined in the street by three others; Daniel Walklett, Harvey Williams and Jordan Hughes - before the five set off to the Spar in Brunswick Road.
After that, they went to a kebab shop, where they were joined by another male; Dylan Ashfield.
Eventually, Ashfield, Hughes, Williams and Walklett left together - and Mr Wilkinson and Spencer walked in the direction of Buckley Fire Station, where they stopped and talked just before 10pm.
Meanwhile, in Lexham Green Close at exactly 10pm, Ashfield, Walklett and Williams were captured walking towards the home of Mitchell.
Some 18 seconds later, they could be seen running away, immediately after the window at the property was smashed.
And just a few moments after that, Mitchell could be seen on CCTV leaving his home in what prosecuting counsel Michael Jones KC told the Jury had been "clearly in search of those he thought responsible" for the damage after arming himself with a blade.

The defendant headed in the direction of Manor Drive and then Precinct Way - ultimately happening upon the victim and Jordan Spencer.
At 10.08pm, CCTV from Aldi showed Steven Wilkinson running in the direction of wasteland and over the main road into Jubilee Court, followed "almost immediately" by Mitchell, and then further behind by Jordan Spencer and another friend of the victim named Bryn Boothman.
The court saw the CCTV video of Steven Wilkinson running into the alleyway with a locked door at the end within Jubilee Court, followed by Jamie Mitchell - who could be seen to be carrying an "implement."
The clip contained audio of the victim crying out, then shows Mitchell leaving the scene, and Mr Wilkinson walking out of the alleyway moments after sustaining the fatal injury.
The court also heard a 999 call placed by Mr Wilkinson's friend Jordan Spencer, just minutes after the injury.
In it, he tells the call handler the victim had been stabbed in the side and can be heard urging Mr Wilkinson to "stay with us."
The trial continues.
