LEADER readers have picked the best pubs in Flintshire and Wrexham.
After we posed the question on Facebook, over 300 people commented stating what they think is the best pub in the area.
And based on the thoughts of our readers, the best pub in the area is the Black Lion in Buckley.
The town centre pub was mentioned over a whopping 40 times by people as being the best in the area.
People described it as having an "excellent manager and staff" and that it is the "best pub going".
The pub is also known for its charitable work - with the Leader covering some of its many cases of support for good causes. It was named Marston's Pub of the Year in 2021.
Coming in at second place is the Trap - another Buckley-based pub.
Formerly known as the Hope & Anchor, the pub is now named after the angling pool it sits on the banks of.

It was picked by 21 people as being the best in the area and was highlighted as a Leader Pub of the Week last year.
One person said: "Great atmosphere and music venue with excellent bar staff, highly recommend."
Another added: "A proper local, great music, function venue, stunning views and a friendly welcome."
In third place was the iconic Turf Hotel - which sits next to Wrexham AFC's Racecourse stadium.
Other pubs to receive over 10 mentions were the Old Wine Vaults in Holywell, the George & Dragon in Flint and The Long Pull in Wrexham city centre.
