THERE'S a buzz like never before around all things Wrexham right now.

The takeover of the football club by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, hand-in-hand with the Welcome to Wrexham documentary that followed, has put the city on the map.

So much so that everybody around the world knows about Wrexham and the mighty Reds by now - from Brazil to Uganda (where Wrexham Uganda FC play!) and everywhere in between.

But, what really makes the place so special to live in? Well, who better to answer that than those who live and work there!

We recently asked our readers; "What do you love about living in Wrexham?". Here are some of the best answers we received.

The Leader:

Julie O'Hara said: "I love Wrexham. I worked here for years. It's the people that make it. Wrexhamites."

Tina Evans added: "The people I love are there."

Alexandra Ruth told us: "The amazing charities which support families in need such as Dynamic and Your Space."

Ian O'Keefe said: "It’s where I was raised and live and even though I love to get away I’m always missing it and can’t wait to get back.

"I call it a homing town, like a pigeon, we always find our way back here no matter how much we think we hate the place!"

Kelsie Williams added: "The country parks, community feeling, being able to walk to everything, the history and places to visit."

Jeanette Baker said: "The sarcasm, banter and great sense of humour Wxm folk have."

The Leader:

PIC: Wrexham city centre.

Sian Thomas said: "The people! We are a friendly town, minus a few that say they're not from here and embarrassed.

"We live in a beautiful town, it'll never be a city to us. We have amazing parks too. I'll always be proud to be a Wrexham gal!!!"

Glen Stapley added: "The potential this town/city has, the people of Wrexham are its best asset. Work with the people not against them, and this will be a better place to live."

Kevin Garrigan told us: "Having a great football club."

Jayne Andrews said: "I have moved away now and then but always come back. It's home."
