Flint and District Lions have presented a further defibrillator in Flint after gifting 16 to communities within the area over five years.
The defibrillator is a gift to the town following a request from Flint Town Council.
It has been fitted to Flint Town Hall with the club’s other defibrillator in the town centre positioned at the Library on Church Street.
It was handed over to Town Mayor Michelle Perfect by club president David Gregory and colleagues.
David Gregory, making the presentation, confirmed that this was the club’s 50th anniversary year and that it was felt that such a gift was an appropriate way to celebrate this milestone in the club’s history.

He added: “We always hope that these defibrillators will never have to be used but our experience shows that they are in use on a frequent basis.”
Defibrillation coordinator, Bryn Jones confirmed that, in the five years of operating, the machines have been used on over 60 occasions.
The Flint and District Lions Club is a group of individuals from the local communities who meet twice a month at Flint Golf Club on the first and third Wednesdays at 7pm.
They are affiliated with the international Lions Club organisation, a world wide organisation of service clubs founded in Chicago in 1917.
