A COMMUNITY council has spoken of its 'disappointment' after photographs emerged of shattered glass bottles at a children's playground in Flintshire.
Wojciech Nocon took his daughter to a playground on Brookes Avenue in Broughton last week (April 2) when they were shocked to discover a large amount of smashed glass from Budweiser bottles at the foot of a slide and around the climbing frame.
The pair took it upon themselves to clean up the mess, after his six-year-old daughter, Zosia, made the dangerous discovery.
In response to the shocking mess left at the playground, Broughton and Bretton Community Council said: "It is really disappointing that some youths act irresponsibly to the detriment of other young children.
"We constantly ask members of the public to report all incidents on 101 to help build up data about problem areas.

"We react almost immediately to calls of this nature with a dedicated team of maintenance officers but on this incident, the kind gentleman undertook the task.
"We have just invested in the play area with the instalment of a new basket swing in the park and we hope that the majority of young people within the community are able to enjoy this play area without incident.
"Brookes Avenue is one of our larger play areas with a lot of equipment."
