MONTH-LONG roadworks on a main route to Wrexham have begun today (April 11).
The works on the A541 Mold Road in Gwersyllt will see two-way lights in operation until May 29.
There will also be three-way lights at the junction of Hardwick Drive between April 17 and April 18, as well as a lane closure from April 24 to May 8.
The works are being undertaken by Wales & West Utilities - which is upgrading the gas network in the area.
Wales & West Utilities' programme controller, Adrian Degg, said: “We will be working in the Mold Road area of Gwersyllt in Wrexham to upgrade the gas network.
"This work is part of an investment in the area to keep the gas flowing to local homes and businesses today, and to make sure the gas network is ready to transport hydrogen and biomethane in the future."

He added: "We appreciate that working on roads such as these is not ideal, but this work really is essential to keep the gas flowing to heat homes and power businesses in the area, and to make sure the gas network is fit for the future.
