WRESTLING action is set to return to Deeside later this month - all in the name of charity. 

Following on from their highly successful event in October 2022, Basix Pro Wrestling is returning to its hometown and home venue.

'Brawl at the Hall' will take place live at Connah's Quay Civic Hall from 7pm on April 15.

The event will feature an 'over the top rope' Royal Rumble main event for the Matty Edwards Memorial Trophy, along with an adrenaline fulled four-match supporting card.

Wrestling fans can expect to see BPW favourites including; local star Jack Jones, The Black Dragon, the 6’8 KReaper and “The Celtic Nightmare” Tony Bond.

Basix have also teamed up with Cancer Research Shotton, and will be raising some much needed funds for Cancer Research UK at the event, with a raffle offering some top prizes, to be held on the night.

Basix Wrestling, headed by Connah’s Quay’s own veteran wrestler, “Iron Man” Mike Roberts, also run a successful training school.

With over 35 years in the industry, Mike has put a number of top names out on the circuit, and is constantly trying to do his bit to help give back to the wider community that has supported him and his company over the years.
