NORTH WALES Police have said that recent patrols of primary schools in Flintshire have been 'well recieved'.
The patrols took place recently and formed as part of Operation SNAP which responds to the increasing submissions of video and photographic evidence by the public in relation to driving offences following complaints from members of the public of careless and inconsiderate parking at schools.
The Leader recently reported that Ysgol Bryn Coch in Mold issued a warning to parents via Twitter that photographs were being taken of illegally parked cars and reported to the police.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "Patrols were needed due to the allegations of inconsiderate and dangerous parking when dropping off children at school.

"Patrols were well received generally and a number of persons were offered WOA (words of advice).
"It's hoped that the patrols will encourage those dropping off children at schools to be more aware of the safety of all the children attending as well as other road users such as pedestrians with prams or in wheelchairs."
