A FLINTSHIRE animal park is celebrating the birth of twin baby lemurs and a highland cow calf.

Greenacres Animal Park, in Deeside, announced on Friday that Ring tailed lemur Tia has given birth to an adorable pair of twins at the zoo.

Ring tailed lemurs are endangered - mostly due to human-induced habitat loss on their native island of Madagascar.

And if that isn't cute enough - an adorable Highland cow calf has also been born at the park.

A male, not yet named, has joined the herd at Greenacres.

There are also cheeky emu chicks, and the park is expecting Cameroon sheep lambs, Pygmy goat kids and guinea pig babies due any day soon.

Don’t forget Greenacres' Easer Eggravaganza event on Friday, April 7 until Monday, April 10. This includes all park activities plus an Easter Egg hunt, Easter craft and the all time favourite goat bottle feeding (subject to availibility). To book tickets, please visit https://bit.ly/3KmS3m2.

Becky Watson, zoo manager, said: "We are so happy with the arrival of the lemur baby twins here at the park.

"Ring-tailed lemurs are endangered so it’s great we are able to contribute to conserving their species for future generations to appreciate.

"Mum is doing very well and taking having two babies to look after in her stride. We are looking forward to seeing them grow and start to play together and with the rest of the troop."
