NORTH WALES police have confirmed they will be conducting 'proactive patrols' across primary schools in south Flintshire.
It comes following complaints from members of the public of careless and inconsiderate parking.
The patrols form part of North Wales Police's Operation SNAP.
Operation SNAP is a response to increasing submissions of video and photographic evidence relating to driving offences that members of the public have witnessed.
Until now, these reports have been submitted to the police in all sorts of ways and so a streamlined process has now been developed to deal with them. This will hopefully make it easier for all involved.
The Leader recently reported that Ysgol Bryn Coch in Mold issued a warning to parents via Twitter that photographs were being taken of illegally parked cars and reported to the police.

One parent outside the gates described the situation at the Mold school as 'chaos'.
Operation SNAP coincides with the issue being put under the microscope at Flintshire County Council's environment and education scrutiny committees last week, in which a report by the chief officer at Streetscene labelled the illegal parking as 'Inappropriate, inconsiderate and sometimes, dangerous' and 'puts the safety of children and other road users at risk.'
