Wrexham AFC have agreed to a multi-year agreement with Cefn Druids that will see the women’s section train and play their home games at The Rock Stadium.
In February, the club announced that they would be applying for a Tier 1 licence for the 2023/24 season, which was granted yesterday (Thursday, March 30), and that the playing squad will also become semi-professional should they win promotion to the Adran Premier.
After the success of Sunday’s historic fixture against Connah’s Quay at the Racecourse Ground, the move continues the progression of the women’s section.
The match was played in front of 9,511 supporters, smashing the previous attendance record for an FAW domestic fixture.

Fleur Robinson, Wrexham AFC CEO, said: “We are pleased to work with Cefn Druids and The Rock Stadium which will provide an excellent home for our women to train and play.
“It was an important move for us to make as we continue to grow all sections of the club, and I would like to thank Des Williams for his help in securing the deal.”
Des Williams, Cefn Druids chairman, said “We, as a club, are a huge advocate for the women’s game and Fleur Robinson reaching out regarding hosting their women’s team was a chance to be a part of it.
“The work Fleur and her team have put in has been immense and I’m happy to have them here pushing the game forward.”
