This award celebrated a new teacher that has been working in education for less than three years and who inspires and engages pupils to achieve their full potential.
The winner of this award was Taylor Burns, a newly qualified teacher at Ysgol Treffonon in Holywell.
Miss Burns is a geography teacher, a subject which has increased in popularity since she arrived at the school.
Miss Burns helps students to make sense of the world they live in and inspires them to make a positive change and become good citizens of Wales.
Miss Burns started at the school in September 2022, and since arriving has helped to make a difference to children at the school.
Her lessons often incorporate interesting and unique examples to engage the students.
Discussing her win, Miss Burns said: "I am shocked and ecstatic for the school and honoured to win this award."
John Weir, headteacher, Ysgol Treffynnon said: “We are thrilled for Taylor to be presented with this award.
"She is a superb teacher who is a real asset to our school.

The other nomination for this award was Matthew Hobbs, another newly qualified teacher at Ysgol Treffynnon who is a naturally creative and inspiring D.T teacher.
He is enjoying getting to know all the students and working with everyone to develop new and exciting strategies for learning.
The award was presented by Kate Ruffell at Excell Supply.
