Primary school pupil of the year across Wrexham and Flintshire, celebrated students that have gone above and beyond inside and outside of their time at school.
The three nominees and winners for the category were; Violet Edge - St Mary’s Catholic Primary, Wrexham, Owain Probert – All Saints Primary School, Gresford and Tyra Buffey Ysgol Y Waun, Chirk.
Violet Edge, age 10, is a year five student who over the past 15 months has shown resilience and courage.
Her mum was diagnosed with cancer mid pandemic, but she never once missed school and continued to work hard progressing in all subjects.
Violet said she was feeling 10/10 after the win and said she was very proud of herself.

The next talented winner in the category is Tyra Buffey, age 11, a year six student that has overcome many challenges over the last few years.
Despite the hurdles she has faced, Tyra has never let this affect her commitment to school as she always gives 100% and is a credit to her school.
Tyra’s parents said they were extremely proud of their daughter for winning the award.
The final winner in the category was Owain Probert, age 8, a year four student that has been recognised for his excellent fundraising efforts.
Owain has been praised for the money he has raised for The Poppy Appeal, through painting poppy stones.
His parents are beyond proud of Owain who they describe as selfless, kind and thoughtful.
The award was presented by Jenny Lloyd from Excell Supply.
