THE REASON behind a 'police presence' in northern Flintshire (Thursday, March 23) has been revealed.
North Wales Police have eased northern Flintshire residents' concerns after officers - and a police dog - were spotted in that area last night (Wednesday, March 22).
They say they were in the area to help locate and subsequently arrest a shoplifter.

A statement from PC Shannen Finnerty on the NWP Community Alerts page read: "You may have seen some officers in the area with a police dog. A sneaky shoplifter had got on his toes but you can't hide from a police dog!
"Suspect was located and arrested and there is no cause for concern.
"I'd also like to reassure you our lovely police dog was rewarded with lots of "good boys" and head pats."
