A dispersal order has been put in place in Mold following anti-social behaviour this afternoon.
North Wales Police have confirmed that shortly after 3.30pm today (Wednesday, March 22) , they responded to reports of a large group of youths behaving in an anti-social manner in Mold.
The youths were reported to have been throwing items towards properties in the area of Cedar Grove.
As a result, a 24-hour dispersal order has been put in place from 4.20pm today, until 4.20pm on Thursday, March 23, covering the area outlined below.
The order gives officers and PCSOs the power to direct anybody engaging in anti-social behaviour to leave the area and not to return under Section 34 of the ASB Crime and Policing Act 2014.
Failure to comply with this dispersal order will result in arrest.
Officers are now urging parents and carers to know where their youngsters are in the evenings.
Inspector Iwan Jones said: “As a result of an increase in anti-social behaviour by a number of youths in the Mold area, we have today put a dispersal order in place as a preventative measure to deter any further incidents this evening.
“There will be an increased presence in the specific areas outlined in the map above this evening, and we will not hesitate to enforce the extra powers afforded to them if needed.”
