POLICE are investigating a series of vehicle registration plate thefts in Wrexham.
Inspector Luke Hughes, of the Wrexham City policing team, said three sets of registration plates were stolen on Saturday and Sunday.
Two were from vehicles in Rhostyllen and one set from a car on Smithfield Road.
Inspector Hughes said: "[They are] Sometimes used to mask the identity of a stolen vehicle or the identity of a genuinely owned vehicles them used to commit crime.
"Officers are briefed and will keep their eyes peeled. No crime prevention I can offer, opportunistic offence on three different make / model vehicles."
