THE Met Office has extended a weather warning for Wrexham and Flintshire.
An amber warning for snow and ice was in place for large parts of Thursday and ended at 9am this morning (March 10).
However, weather experts have announced a new warning for the region.
A yellow warning for ice is now in place until 10am tomorrow morning (March 11).
The warning covers all of Wrexham and Flintshire, as well as large parts of north and mid-Wales.
The Met Office has said that people can expect:
- Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
- Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths

The snowfall across Wrexham and Flintshire looks set to have come to an end according to the Met Office, with temperatures forecast to stay very low over the next few days.
The Met Office has predicted lows of -7C overnight, with temperatures remaining below 0C throughout tomorrow.
It does look set to brighten up on Sunday, with temperatures as high as 10C.
