Mold Library will be welcoming two bestselling authors from Wales this month.

In partnership with The Mold Bookshop, the library will welcome author, Kate Hamer while she discusses her latest book, 'The Lost Girls' on Wednesday, March 22 at 7pm.

Kate, who grew up in Pembrokeshire won the Rhys Davies Short Story competition in 2011.

Her debut novel “The Girl In The Red Coat” was shortlisted for many prizes including the Costa First Novel Award and The Wales Book Of The Year.

Kate currently resides in Cardiff.

One week later, award-winning author, Caryl Lewis will be discussing her debut English novel for adults, “Drift” in Mold Library on Tuesday, March 28, also at 7pm.

A multi-award-winning novelist, children's writer, playwright and screenwriter, Caryl's breakthrough novel Martha, Jac a Sianco (2004) is widely regarded as a modern classic of Welsh literature, and the film adaptation - with a screenplay by Lewis herself - went on to win six Welsh BAFTAS and the Spirit of the Festival Award at the 2010 Celtic Media Festival.

Her other screenwriting work includes BBC/S4C thrillers Hinterland and Hidden.

Caryl is a visiting lecturer in Creative Writing at Cardiff University and lives with her family on a farm near Aberystwyth.

Drift is her debut novel in the English language.
