A Flintshire dog rescue is hoping that its latest residents will find their forever homes as they endeavour to help more.
Almost Home Dog Rescue, in Nercwys, is seeing their waiting lists getting bigger by the day, and their phone is constantly ringing with calls for help before they even attempt to help dogs in the pound.
They are hoping that their latest residents will be able to find loving, forever homes, and continue the cycle to help as many dogs as possible.
Below are the latest who are on the lookout for their 'pawfect' homes, could it be yours? For more information visit https://almosthome.dog/adopt/
Austin
Austin is a true gentleman and loves people - he is a collie x lab who is around 8-10 years old. He came to AHDR from the pound but is now in foster where he is doing really well.
The rescue said: “We initially thought him to be about 90% deaf but he isn't and can actually hear quite a lot - he just needs to bond with you. He is the perfect house-guest. He is house-trained, affectionate, loves his walks and walks beautifully on lead, adores going in the car and is a complete cuddle-monster. He is such a loving boy.”
Cari
Cari is an approximately 18-month-old staffie who arrived from the pound, and has clearly had a litter.
The rescue said: “She is in a foster home where she has been amazing - she has incredible manners, is a spotless house guest, a good eater, walks well and is great in the car. Cari is increasing in confidence each day, she goes with the flow and takes everything in her stride. She is looking for an active home with somebody who understands the breed but whoever rehomes this girl will be very lucky - she gives amazing staffie kisses and cuddles!
"She walks beautifully on her head collar and is much better around other dogs - she has a fear of other dogs but is now listening to corrections and her walking is much improved.
“Cari needs a home with people who have time to carry on her work with other dogs. We know she can do it and she is improving daily. She's described by her 'foster mum' as ‘perfect in every other way’.”

Seth (previously Larry)
Seth is a roughly three-year-old lurcher who travels well in the car and walks really well on his lead, with a head collar to help him feel safer and more secure. He just loves to play and thinks life is a game so whoever is lucky enough to rehome Seth will “never have a dull day again” according to the rescue.
They said: “Seth could live in a family home with dog savvy, slightly older, children….as he is strong and has a very waggy tail. He really just adores everyone he meets!
“Seth is a cuddle monster and loves nothing more than chilling with you. He is great with people coming to the home and greets everyone like a long-lost friend - he truly is a family pet. This lad is good with dogs, if introduced properly. He can become over excited and unsure but soon settles with the re assurance of his handler. Seth mirrors his handler's confidence.
“Overall, this lad is a typical lurcher, he loves people and food. He is a fab cuddler, adores going in the car and is a joy to be around. Seth does have prey-drive and this needs to be managed with a few simple steps. From experiences in his current home, he is not cat or small furry friendly and we will detail the specifics with any serious applicants.”
