A MUCH-LOVED ice cream man is now set for his next venture - opening a new takeaway shop in Wrexham.
The self-proclaimed “King of Desserts”, Mr Tee, aka Tee Smith, is known for drawing large crowds as he tours the UK selling ice cream trays from his colourful van.
Real name Imran Ashiq, he was previously in charge of the popular 'Krazy About Pizza' takeaway in Wrexham between 2004 and 2012.
Now, he is set to start a new chapter by running his own 'Mr Tee's' takeaway on Lord Street, Wrexham in the long-been empty unit next to Vasco Da Gama's.
The Leader reported that plans for the new shop were originally submitted to Wrexham Council back in 2021.
Earlier this week, the sign for the shop was put into place and Tee now believes that the business is 'around two weeks away' from opening to the public.

Speaking to the Leader, he said: "The main thing we want to focus on is the home delivery aspect, as I used to do at Krazy Pizza.
"Unfortunately, my time there came to an end when I had to sell up due to the recession. So, I turned to the ice creams and that been unbelievably successful.
"Now, at Mr Tee's takeaway, we're looking to deliver to every Wrexham postcode, including out towards Chirk.
"We'll be introducing 100% angus beef burgers, kebabs, dirty fries and a range of different products, so watch this space."

Tee says that his family will be running the business alongside him, including his brothers and his six children.
However, he adds that 'around 10 jobs' - including delivery driver roles - will initially be created when the business is up and running.
Talking about making a return to running a business in Wrexham, he added: "It's something that's been lacking in my life, I've really missed it. I have always enjoyed meeting people in Wrexham and so I promised myself I'd return someday.
"I owe so much to the people of Wrexham. I came here as a foreigner when I moved here from Bolton back in 2004 and they welcomed me in with open arms."
"This is my way of giving back now for the support they've shown me."
Mr Tee has amassed over 160,000 followers on his TikTok page to date, as well as over one million likes.
