A MAIN road in Flintshire is to be subject to average speed cameras.
The cameras are to be installed on the A548 between Flint and Gronant amid concerns over the number of collisions on the road.
The Welsh Government has confirmed that funding has been awarded for the average speed cameras to be installed.
A spokesperson said: "The Deputy Minister for Climate Change (Lee Waters) has agreed to provide funding for average speed cameras on the A548 between Flint and Gronant.
"Flintshire Council was awarded the funding for cameras to cover the road which has seen a rise in road traffic collisions."
