A statement from the NWP Roads Policing Unit read: "This trailer was stopped by one of our officers in Ewloe earlier today, and as you can see from the first pic it looks a little bit 'heavy'. Checks revealed it was overloaded by 52%.
PIC: Here's what was found inside the van's trailer.
"Driving an overloaded vehicle affects both its handling and braking capabilities - which in turn significantly increases the risk of the driver being involved in a traffic collision, putting themselves and other road users at risk.
"Drivers: it is YOUR responsibility to ensure that your vehicle is roadworthy before commencing a journey."
