A POLICE investigation is underway after a car belonging to a pregnant Wrexham woman was set alight by arsonists.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service (NWFRS) said firefighters were called to the incident that occurred on a driveway of a property on Field View at 6.51pm on Saturday.
Two crews from Wrexham fought the flames, which spread to a neighbour's fence. The car was left very badly damaged.
A NWFRS spokesperson said the fire was started deliberately.
North Wales Police is investigating the incident. Anyone with information or CCTV footage which could assist is urged to contact the force on 101 quoting reference A028604.
Katie Dodd, aged 31, is the owner of the that was set alight.
She said: "I'm mixed full of emotions - there's confusion, frustration and anger.
"I don't understand why someone would do such a thing. I have two children and I'm currently pregnant."
