THE streets of Wrexham will light up on St David's Day, with a lantern parade.

Thanks to funding from the City of Culture 2025 bid, along with support from the 3 Counties Connected Railway Partnership, Groundwork North Wales are excited to be hosting the parade on March 1, in the city centre.

The Lantern Parade will celebrate Welsh culture and heritage, which is the reason the 3 Counties Connected Community Railway Partnership wanted to get involved, as they are celebrating 175 years of the Chester/Wrexham/Shrewsbury/Crewe railway line, which has played a vital part in Wrexham's industrial heritage.
