SUPERMARKET giants ASDA is proposing to close its 'Living' shop in Wrexham, adding that it has been 'running at a loss for a number of years'.
ASDA says a consultation period is set to begin to discuss the future of the shop based at the Island Green Retail Park.
The shop itself, which employs around 20 members of staff, offers a click and collect site, as well as its standard range of clothing, homeware and other Asda products.

Confirming the proposal, an Asda spokesperson said: "Despite the best efforts of our hard-working colleagues, our Asda Living store in Wrexham has been running at a loss for a number of years so unfortunately we are proposing to close the store.
"We are now entering a period of consultation with our colleagues on these proposals.
"We recognise this will be a difficult time for them and will do all we can to support them through this process and find alternate roles in other local stores.”
