A NUMBER of 'exciting businesses' are set to be lining up moves to Eagles Meadow according to Wrexham's MP.
Sarah Atherton has revealed that she is aware of several businesses looking at moving into the site in the city centre.
It comes following the news that M&S announced they would be leaving Eagles Meadow to open a food hall on the Plas Coch Retail Park.
The Debenhams store also remains empty at Eagles Meadow.

However, that may not be the case for much longer according to Ms Atherton.
Wrexham's MP said: "There seems to be a national trend for large retailers to move out of the city centre and, despite the disappointing news that M&S will be leaving Eagles Meadow, it is positive news that it is staying in Wrexham.
"I am aware of several exciting businesses that are lining up to move into Eagles Meadow but the proposal to close Asda Living, at Island Green and redeploy to the Superstore, causes uncertainty.
"Unfair parking enforcement at Island Green is a major factor in falling customer numbers and I’m continuing to support constituents on this issue.
"Urban centres are evolving, and the type of demand and customer footfall is not what it was. Wrexham, like many other cities, needs to adapt.
"This is why the UK Government has given £22.4m to Wrexham Council in ‘UK Shared Prosperity Funding’ to support the future of Wrexham’s high street and ensuring pride in place."
