CANADIAN Wrexham fans who made a return to the Racecourse over the weekend have thanked locals for the 'warm welcome' they received.
Last week, the Leader reported that the Wrexham Canada family - formed out of a love for the game, their country and for Wrexham AFC co-owner Ryan Reynolds - would be making their return to north Wales.
The group last made a visit to north Wales in December 2022, to witness a 4-1 FA Cup win over Farnborough.
And on Saturday (February 11), they made their return to the Racecourse to watch the Reds beat Wealdstone 3-1 in a match which drew in a crowd of over 10,000 spectators.

Led by founder Sandy Domingos-Shipley, around 30 members of the Wrexham Canada family made their way to the Racecourse.
A statement following their visit read: "It is safe to say, it was a crazy day in Wrexham yesterday. We loved seeing familiar faces from our previous trips but also meeting so many new people as well!
"Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. All the best for the next few weeks and fingers crossed we can come back."

Wrexham Canada was first formed last year, as a way of creating a community for Canadians based in the UK or Canadians who fly over for the games.

Saturday's trip was the third made by many members of the group, with many more visits planned in future.
There was also a nice touch made by Wayne Jones, the owner of the Turf pub which lies in the shadow of the Racecourse ground, upon the group's arrival for their latest visit.
The butty van there offered 'poutine' (chips with cheese curds and gravy) on the menu for its Canadian guests to offer them a taste of home.
